Open Question: What do you consider an American made car?
What nice of car is more American made to you? 1. A car from American company like Chevrolet or Ford, but the car is actually built in Canada with parts made from other countries like Mexico. Therefore, most of the actual assembly and manufacturing is NOT done by Americans at every. Only the name and design is American. 2. A car from a company such as Honda or Toyota which may be Japanese companies and may be made of Japanese parts, but the cars are made and assembled in the United States by American workers. Just something you should think about when you think "Built in America"

Open Question: What do I check on applications?
I'm sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but people I know are telling me different things. It's confusing me. My mom is Dominican and she could have a little Haitian in her too. My grandma never knew who her real dad was but she heard that he was half Haitian and half Dominican. My dad is Mexican, he was born in Mexico City, but everyone says he doesn't look Mexican. His eyes are green, and his skin tone is light. People say he could pass for an Italian or some other Mediterranean person. I guess he's considered a White Mexican?? My question is, what do I check on applications? Do I check every three? Black, Hispanic, and Caucasian?

Open Question: Should I go to India or to Finland?
Please, give me your best advice on this. The thing is that I had applied to go as an exchange student to Finland for one year sponsored by Rotary International. I was accepted, however, they changed my original destination to India! It is the opposite to what I had asked, and yet I feel not excited at every. Though, I really know nothing about that country, and obviously, have never travelled there, so perhaps my conception about it could be certainly biased. My parents have said they will support me no matter what my decision is, but the issue is that if I tell them I want to go to India, they will not send me to Finland until the middle of the university. In the other hand, if I don't go to India, I will be able to go to Finland from the start. Do you think it is worth it to sacrifice half my University in Finland in favour of one year in India? Otherwise, should I stay here and wait? By the way, I'm from mexico, and I adore Finland because of it's high quality education, icy weather, environmentalism, greenery, lakes, icy, snow, organisation, welfare system, prosperity, icy, blondes, slimy people, places, history, and off course icy weather

Open Question: Help, what should I do with my summer?
A little background information is in order before I ask for your advice. Currently I am a sophomore at a major university and this summer I can either take a four month road trip across the Southwestern United states or work for 10$ an hour and keep up 5,000$ and take some classes at community college. Obviously taking classes and saving some money is practical, but I would miss out on a fun opportunity with two of my best friends to look a part of the U.S.A. I saved up 4000$ last summer and my school is completely paid for through scholarships and grants so I don't really need money. I bought myself a 89' Jeep Cherokee and I am considering taking a 4 month trip across Western Texas, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and California. We would split the fuel costs and our food will arrive from local farmer's markets and hole in the wall restaurants, and most nights we plan to spend camping below the stars in desert areas off the beaten path and high way. The cost should arrive out to ~30$ each for my girlfriend, my best pal, and me. I think it would be great fun experiencing American culture that I am not exposed to (lived in Texas and New York), seeing our beautiful country, chugging down the highway with some Zeppelin below the wide blue sky, listening to great music at many festivals that we plan to attend, going to Vegas, living in San Fransisco for a month with a pal, visiting National parks, getting stoned or tripping on shrooms in the middle of nature after a long day's hike into remote desert/canyon areas. Everything will be played by ear. Nothing is down on paper but the basic pretense of the trip is laid out. We are every geology majors so we have extensive knowledge of field methods, trekking in the wilderness, and appreciation for the great outdoors. On the other hand I could work during the summer and keep up 5000$. This would allow me to make a savings account at the age of 19 and I would not have to worry about my financial situation as I can build up a safety net. Additionally I could take 12 hours during the summer and receive ahead by a semester.

Open Question: What makes you think obama will be elected?
Obama has promised to lift our taxes this year. He’s pushing for comprehensive “immigration reform” that will really act as an amnesty for illegal immigrants. He has denigrated Arizona before Mexico, bowed before the king of Saudi Arabia and the Chinese president and the Japanese emperor, hugged a Venezuelan quasi-dictator, and undermined a constitutional uprising in Honduras. He has pushed carbon taxes and gas taxes and estate taxes. He has propped up unfit mortgage borrowers and penalized those who pay their mortgage on time. He has bailed out his buddies in the banking industry and nationalized the car and health industries for the benefit of his union friends. Obama has insulted the Cambridge police and defended Muslim terrorists like Maj. Nidal Hassan. He has utilized advisers who are Marxists (former Green Jobs Czar Van Jones), anti-Semites (foreign policy adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski, special adviser Samantha Power, National Security Adviser Adm. James Jones), racists (Attorney General Eric Holder), sycophantic pro-Islamists (Deputy National Security Adviser for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism John Brennan), kooks (Director of White home Office of Science and Technology John Holdren), perverts (Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings), and paid thugs (Rahm Emanuel). When Obama took office, the national debt was just below $10 trillion. Now it is $15 trillion, and by 2015, it will be at least $19.6 trillion. Unemployment below Obama increased to 9.7 percent, up from 7.6 percent when Bush left office. The inflation rate has yet to explode, but most economists believe it will have to unless Obama drastically raises taxes, destroying the economy even further.

Open Question: My boyfrien wants to study in abroad, I don`t know if he wants me to go?
We both live in the same city, I am currently in college here in Guatemala and he want`s to go study in mexico. I decided to do some research on universities in mexico and found a really good one (even better than my current school), with good prices and everything. The thing is I don`t know if I should mention that I would like to join him, and I don`t know if he wants that. We have been happily together for 1 year already and we have talked about someday moving in together, and even marrying one day. But Im not sure if that is still the plan, and Im scared to ask him because Im afraid that he might want to go alone. But its 3 years, in which he will only arrive twice a year. It will steer me insane. Should I mention that I want to go too? Im not planning on going immediately when he leaves, Im planing on going ike 4 or 5 months later.

Open Question: How come Mexico complains about U.S. deporting illegal Mexican criminals back to Mexico what Mexico wants us?
How arrive Mexico complains about U.S. deporting illegal Mexican criminals back to Mexico why does Mexico wants us to keep their criminals here at our expense ? TIJUANA — Less than four months after he was released from a Nevada prison and deported to Mexico, Fermín Pérez Juárez is in trouble again. He is now behind bars in Tijuana, accused along with four others in the kidnapping and torture of a man who was hoping to be smuggled into the United States. It wasn’t just the brutality of the crime, committed last month in the city’s Zona Norte, that commanded attention in Tijuana newspaper headlines and on TV broadcasts. It was the people allegedly behind the crime: Pérez and the other suspects are deportees with U.S. criminal records, Mexican authorities said. Illegal immigration is a contentious topic in the United States, but it can be a touchy subject in Mexico, too. This is especially true in northern border cities such as Tijuana, where hundreds of Mexicans are returned each day. The city’s officials say the presence of big numbers of deportees poses public safety problems and further strains social-service programs. Business owners close the border complain that they steer up crime and steer away customers. Deportees say they often are made to feel like convicts even when they are not — ostracized, unable to find work, lacking any family or friends in the area, targeted by police as well as criminals who shake them down and take their money and documents. Though theses issues are not new, an unprecedented effort by the U.S. government to deport foreigners convicted of crimes is raising alarm in Tijuana. “They arrive in border cities and they don’t have work, they don’t anywhere to live, they don’t have documents,” said Adán Velázquez, head of criminal investigations in Tijuana for the Baja California Attorney General’s Office. “They become addicted to drugs, they wander the streets, they are bad for the city’s image and have become a serious problem.” While the Mexican government offers deportees transportation back to their hometowns, many of them pick to remain close the U.S.-Mexico border in hopes of making another crossing. But increasingly tight U.S. security along the border makes such returns far more difficult, so deportees linger in limbo. “Before, we didn’t have so many people getting stuck in Tijuana,” said the city’s security chief, Alberto Capella. http://web.utsandiego.com/news/2012/feb/05/tp-us-deportations-put-a-burden-on-tijuana/?page=2#article

Open Question: Would you vote for me if I ran for president?
Here are my policies: Foreign Policy: Strengthen our ties to countries like India, South Korea, and Japan. Respond to terrorism with surgical strikes but not outright war. Continue our aid to Israel and other countries but decrease it ever so slightly. Homeland Security: Continue as is but scale down TSA searches and make more extensive use of unarmed drones on the US/Mexico border. Immigration: Continue as is, I have no problem with current immigration policies. Energy & Oil: Scale down our dependence on foreign oil by encouraging growth in the solar industry and electric vehicles. A network of high speed electric bullet trains much like the one in Japan would also be nice. Gun Control: I would not make any specific types of guns illegal but rather types of ammunition that are excessive for civilian use, such as armor piercing rounds and explosive bullets. Crime: I would make our prisons more focused on rehabilitation rather than punishment so that we have a lower reoffender rate and thus less crowded prisons. Drugs: Legalize marijuana for personal/medicinal use (you cannot use it in public and most definitely not while driving or otherwise operating heavy machinery). Drugs like DMT shall only be used to treat addicts and will not be legal for recreational use. Other laws for drugs like cocaine and meth shall remain the same or be made more severe. Health Care: Improve upon the current model until we have health care that is available equally to everyone. Technology: Space technology would be advanced (using that awesome new plasma propulsion system that everyone is talking about) as would be green energy technology and other ways to lessen America's impact upon the world. Environment: Protect our national parks and reserves and provide money for other poorer countries around the world to be able to better protect theirs as well. I'd revise the Clean Air and Water Act and update it for more modern pollutants and pass stricter environmental standards for corporations so that they do not create so much filth in the air and water. Budget & Economy: Put more government restrictions on the stock market so that an economic recession like the one in 2008 can never again occur. Also I'd break up the giant stock tycoons who currently control the stock market so that there are hundreds of smaller companies on the stock market so that a accident wouldn't be anywhere as devastating as in 2008. Social Security: Keep it and even expand it if the economy is doing excellently. Jobs: Keep up a constant jobs creation plan and be sure to expand into areas like the space program and green energy. Education: Increase funding for education and eliminate standardized testing. every schools will receive equal funding based upon size. Civil Rights: I would legalize gay marriage country wide. Abortion: I would keep it as it is. Welfare & Poverty: Keep welfare in place but be able to clip it if the recipient is capable of receiving a job but simply chooses not to pursue it. Principles & Values: Remove fundamentalist Christian influences that do more hurt than good. Tax Reform: I would revamp the US Tax Code and close the loopholes that allow the richest 1% to not pay their fair share. I would also trim the document down to a manageable and easily reviewable size. What do you think of these policies and would this fly if I ran Democrat?

Open Question: How do I file a complaint against a landlord for harassment in California?
I just am not sure who to go to. I have lived at same place for over a year, good relations with every, then landlord wants me ourt quick claiming he is selling and needs the property empty. He offered me 500 to receive out, but I said it would take more than that and I gave him a 60 day notice that I would move out in 60 days. Then the next day the police wree here to incestigate that I had threatened his wife etc,. The police told me he had done same thing before and they are on my side. They said sit here while he evicts you, keep your money up. They do not like the guy. The wifr grabbed every my keys off the washer earlier that night, and would not return them to me. The police oredered her to give the keys back. They are from Mexico and think they can do things the way they do them there I guess. But now I am not seeing my mail, and they are not allowing me in the kitchen. My room I rent is in a back hallway and the door to the home/kitchen can be locked, though I have a key, when I open the door they yell at me in Spanish etc etc, good lord. for Ashley, haha trust me I am that man. But that would toss everything in his favor. Thanks for grabbing the spirit of tyhings though. The reason I pointed out that I am in California is that my tenant's right s are the same as if I was renting a 10 mnmillion dollar palace as for a bedroom. Also, no landlord can adore me out with out an eviction, 3 to 6 months. I just did not know the best agency to file complaint. I do have a right to the kitchen because it is part of the lease agfreement, but they have no right to lock me out or steal my keys. thankyou I think the policw station will look me this week.

Open Question: Israel and Iran are asking for it. Who will start the next World War?
I heard Israel is planning to attack Iran in the next 3 months because Iran is making a Nuke(or something similar). Will they really battle? If so, will the USA step in(which it should not because, lately, Israel has made the US it`s b*tch). Also, if this does trigger a WWIII, Who will become allies, and who will become foes? I`m hoping Japan, China, Russia, The UK, Mexico, Canada, and of course Israel will battle with us. Will this happen? Who will we battle agaisnt?(I think it will be Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran.) Thanks! Edit: I know the last thing the USA needs is another pointless war, but lets just pretend.

Open Question: Should I go to India?
I have asked many people in my country about whether I should go to India or not, and no one has been able to give me a clear answer. Not even those who have travelled there. I am from mexico, and was offered an opportunity to go one year as an exchange student to India, but I feel no connection with the country. There's no better people to ask about this than Indians themselves. so, please, tell me why I should go, other wise, why I shouldn't, depending on your opinion. thanks.

Open Question: immigration idea. is it a good idea or not?
mexican people living so close to the US border wanting to work in the US (maybe 7-20 miles from the border) could apply for a daytime work allow where they could arrive over during the day and then go home at night. they could then make $7 an hour, worth alot more in mexico (40 or 50 pesos an hour) and before they leave for the night, they could exchange their dollars they earned for pesos at the border so the money didn't haveto leave the US. they could even buy things with the dollars they earned while in the US like bottled water or things to help improve their lives back in Mexico. maybe a music cd or things to learn English/american culture. OR They could keep up the money so they could LEGALLY immigrate to the US easier since their wages would be better then ordinarilly. From there, they could obtain the American dream. i wish nobody bashes me. i believe if your a law abiding citizen, you should be able to live in the US AS LONG as you do it legally.
